As most of you would have heard by now with the massive international hype surrounding the iPhone 4S, Siri is an amazing app with artificial intelligence that is said to make our lives easier. I was quite upset by this as I love my Android device, so I quickly started scouring the net for an equivalent. My search ended when I found Vlingo, an Android app that has been out for quite some time now and already boasts many features that Siri has. Granted that it’s not as sophisticated and feature-rich as Siri, but it gets the job done, and remarkably well at that.

Don’t forget about the standard Google Voice Actions… released over a year ago… I don’t see Siri doing anything really useful over what VA already has….
The reason I would want Siri is more the scheduling assistance. The features that enable it to set up an alarm when you say, “Wake me up at 6am,” or “remind me I have a meeting tomorrow at 11am.” I love being organized in my calendar, but I hate going into the apps to set up events and things.
it will never be the same…NOTHING can compete with Her Majesty SIRI!!!
